The interested parties involved external wall renovation can be competitors or partners between each other. The major topic explored in this study is to find out how different interested parties think about different related issues in order to develop a suitable external wall management mechanism and, consequently, improve the urban environment and cityscape. This research analyzed existing cases of building renovation and maintenance management mechanisms promoted by Taipei City Government in order to explore the current demand for and implementation of building renovation and maintenance. by the questionnaire survey results, The subjects in this study were composed of architects (Type I), construction companies (Type II), building management committees (Type III) and regulating authorities (Type IV). Through in-depth interviews and literature review, three dimensions of the factors related to the life cycle of buildings were found: planning, construction and use. A questionnaire survey was conducted with questionnaires designed using the fuzzy Delphi method to measure how the subjects thought about the factors of the three dimensions. |
