The purpose of this study is to develop a model with action strategies to implement the teacher evaluation for professional development through the process of action research. The model with action strategies is adopted in order to improve teacher evaluation in Sunny Primary School (pseudonym). The data are collected through observation, interviews, self-reflection, conversations and document analysis. The results are as follows:(1) The implementation of teacher evaluation for professional development consists of goals, structures, personnel and skills, the process of teacher evaluation for professional development deals with planning, executing and institutionalizing. (2) Ten strategies of implementing the teacher evaluation for professional development contrived by Sunny Primary School are: communication and persuasion, participation, education, giving favors and interests, information disclosure, negotiation, manipulation, integration, facilitation, and simplicity in action. According to the findings of this study, the researcher has provided some recommendations. |
