The purpose of this research was to probe into holistic correlation between volunteer service-learning and life satisfaction in the elementary schools. The data were collected by questionnaire from 429 f Kaohsiung elementary school volunteers and analyzed by mean analysis, regression analysis and canonical correlation. Findings of this study showed that service-learning variables have more explanatory power than life satisfaction ones. Also, in terms of background variable influence on volunteer’s life satisfaction after service-learning variables were controlled, volunteer’s life satisfaction can be mostly explained by service-learning variables. The results of canonical correlation supported holistic correlation between volunteer service-learning and life satisfaction. This paper ended up with conclusions and suggestions for elementary schools and volunteers. |
