The main purpose of this study is to investigate parental stress and the parent-child relationship in mothers of pre-school children. The study focused on mothers of pre-school aged children from age three and up through just before enrollment in elementary school in Taichung as the subjects of this investigation, totaling 814 individuals. Data was collected through questionnaires and surveys consisting of descriptive statistics, independent sample t tests, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's product-moment correlation, and multiple regression methods. An overall analysis was conducted with the data that was collected, and the results are as follows: 1. The level of parental stress in mothers of pre-school children in Taichung is moderate. 2. The level of parental stress in mothers can differ significantly due to factors such as age, nationality, marital status, household monthly income, family structure and tendencies, and number of children. 3. Parent-child interaction, maternal role, the pressure of the marital relationship, maternal age, occupation, and child age can effectively predict the parent-child relationship. |
