The exploration for the relationship between principal's leadership and school effectiveness has been a critical issue in the field of educational leadership. In contrast with researchers in other countries, most of Taiwan's researchers usually use direct effect model to explain the relationship between principal's leadership and school effectiveness; however, direct effect model is too simple to elucidate the complex relation between leadership and effectiveness. In addition to direct effect model, researchers could adopt antecedent effect, mediated effect, moderated effect, and reciprocal effect model to interpret the relationships between variables. The aim of this study is to clarify the building and testing of models to contribute to the development of the research topic about principal's leadership and school effectiveness. |
