Communication has been regarded as the soul of school administration. A comprehensive inquiry of school administrators’ communicative behavior should include both “manifest-intended” and “hidden-not intended” aspects. Neglecting to inquire the latter, school administrators might leave a blind-box in understanding their own communicative behavior, and might be trapped in the un-conceived negative consequences. However, a literature review shows that the hidden communicative aspect has been neglected to inquire by the Taiwanese scholars and school practitioners. This article thus, serving as an academic catalyst, is developed to emphasize the need to do the inquiry, to discuss its theoretical base from different perspectives, to analyze some related cases in order to enhance the understanding of hidden communicative behavior and its effects, and to provide some possible research approaches for scholars and school practitioners. |
