The curriculum reform is not only reform the curriculum, but the struggle for knowledge and power which is involved in the politics, society, economic and culture of contemporary contexts. Scholars point out that curriculum is the hegemony culture of the ruling class, and the curriculum reform is implicating the change of power structure. The purpose of this article is to analyze how the formation of curriculum reform in Taiwan is affected by the contexts of politics and society in 1990s. In the conclusion, the author tries to prove that school teachers are guided to abandon Chinese ideology and put Taiwan consciousness into educated subject by the localization and activation of new curriculum. |
