本研究旨在利用多層次取向之後設分析方法,以臺灣1995~2010年相關校長轉型領導與教師組織承諾之期刊與博、碩士論文為研究對象,採取鉅觀的角度分析校長轉型領導與教師組織承諾兩者間之關聯性。經過搜尋篩選,總計有17個相關研究符合標準。在利用多層次取向之後設分析後,發現整體校長轉型領導與整體教師組織承諾之間存有正向關聯,且根據Cohen(1988)之標準,具有大效應量。同時,有效樣本數在變項關聯上則具有正向的調節作用。此外,所有校長轉型領導之分層面與所有的教師組織承諾分層面之間存在正向關聯,且變項之關聯皆為中等或大效應量。基於研究所得之結果,建議校長應設法增進轉型領導之知能,藉由建立願景、魅力或理想化影響、激發動機、智識啟發及個別關懷等轉型領導作為,以提升教師組織承諾。
英文摘要
The major purposes of this study were to clarify existing knowledge of the relationship between principals’ transformational leadership and teachers’ organizational commitment and to provide information concerning leadership factors that would be helpful to educational administrators. The multilevel meta-analysis was utilized to synthesize the results of related studies conducted in Taiwan. Data were collected from 17 independent studies from 1995 to 2010. The major findings of this study included that the positive relationship between overall principals’ transformational leadership and overall teachers’ organizational commitment did exist with the high effect size. Furthermore, the number of the valid sample size was found as a significant positive moderator in the relationship between overall principals’ transformational leadership and overall teachers’ organizational commitment. Also, the positive relationships between each individual factors of principals’ transformational leadership and individual factors of teachers’ organizational commitment were found with medium or large effect sizes.
