In recent years, the pop music industry in Taiwan is faced with tremendous changes by cultural technology and creative globalisation, with which the central government coordinates the policy for the cultural and creative industry. By virtue of this new opportunities of employment and economic production, music composing will alliances with other industries. The paper first analyses the development of popular music in Taiwan, how “youth culture” sustain to reflect the reality of the social, political, economic, emotional and ethnic identity. And then we may investigate the interaction between the different generation of youth culture and popular music industry in order to reflect on the academic training in the music curriculum framework that keep the balance of music professionals about supply and demand. For the purpose of the talent cultivation of pop music, the traditional academic system will be broken by the artistic value in college education that must be transitioned from the “personal” characteristics to “collective activity” based on “reception aesthetics”. The programme for the talent cultivation of popular music works out while proceeding as plan in composing, production and marketing. Moreover, the programme is brought out the another issue about the teacher certification. From a viewpoint of Advanced Pop Music Industry-University Cooperative Research, academic music system must review how the talents from Colleges play a role in the constant flow of cultural and creative industries, and meanwhile, respond to the cultural policy of the government. The idea may be offered as a reference that the education will maintain a dual-track development of classical music and popular music. |
