This study tries to explore the Hakka’s language use behavior and impact factor in Miaoli district. In this study, researchers adopt Bourdieu Theory of practice to explain the Hakka’s language use behavior and psyche. The results show that Hakka’s language use behavior in Miaoli district is that most Hakka people speak Hakka in a passive way when they first time meet a stranger. Further discussing the psychical factor, researchers find that the imaginations of informants for interaction area and objects affect their language use choice. And these imaginations mainly come from the informant’s interaction experience with others, ethnic relation in Taiwan and psychical trend of social conformity. |
