The main purposes of this study were to understand how family influences the achievement of the math and science talent. Semi-structure interview were used in this study. All of the subjects agreed that family had great influences on their achievement, especially on the aspect of family value system and parenting style. The subjects answered that they showed great interests and performed well in math and science when they were young. Luckily their parents had reasonable expectation and always considered their special needs. This study addressed the family were significantly correlated with their achievement. Conclusion was the suggestions for researchers, teachers, parents, gifted students, for further study and consultation. |
