This study aims at understanding the key factors of high achieving aboriginal students’academic success. After the literature review and 22 students’ interviewing, the study findsthat, firstly, socio-economic disadvantage is no longer the key factor that influences studentsacademic achievement anymore. Secondly, teachers and parents’ support can improve thestudents’ academic involvement in school. Finally, higher motivation for success and higherChinese cultural identity can help students to succeed in their academic life. |
