This article briefly reviews scholarly research in Taiwan’s management community. Over the past decade, Taiwan has made substantial research progress; in 2008 AOM annual conference, for example, Taiwan formed the fourth largest group in terms of participants, next only to the USA, UK and Canada. Looking into the future, we may expect that Taiwan will increasingly emphasize the rules of publish or perish, quality over quantity, research consistency, management plurality, and undifferentiated PhD origins. Other important concerns include also the positioning of business schools, competitive salary level, and industry-university collaboration. |
