This present study focuses on the job-related diversity and aims to explore the boundary conditions of job-related diversity and team performance. The purpose of this study was to investigate the moderating effects of team innovative climate and environmental uncertainty on the relationships between job-related diversity and team performance. Further, this study considered two types of diversity: educational diversity and organizational tenure diversity. There are 55 team leaders and 323 engineers, totally 55 teams, responding to the survey. Results showed that seniority diversity was positively related to team performance under the high-uncertain environment. Results also showed that the higher the innovative climate, the stronger the positive relationships of educational diversity and team performance. Implications and future research needs are discussed. |
