“Left Behind” MV is a well-known popular MV in Taiwan. The singer of its song is A-Mei. Drawing on the video and lyrics of this MV, the researchers design a curricula of life education for senior high school students. The concept of this curricula is mainly structured from the idea of ultimate care in life education. Its total teaching time is four classes. The purposes of this curricula include: cherishing the common time with family members, realizing the importance of self life, and improving the spirituality of learners’ life. In the class, students have learned the idea that the death is unavoidable during one’s life. Following this, establishing an ultimate belief and positive attitude for our life is essential. In addition, sharing our love with others becomes more important during the limited life time. After teaching, the researchers find that “Left Behind” MV is beneficial for teaching life education because its performance of art integrates into Taiwanese social culture and very closes to students’ daily life. Furthermore, this MV is a useful medium for inspiring the discussion of issues of death and life. |
