This study aimed to investigate the perception of teacher's empowerment in the junior high school and also the variable in teacher's background affect the way their perception. The Questionnaire Method was used, targeting junior high school teachers who were teaching during 2009 to 2010. 1062 effective questionnaires were collected. The conclusions were as follows: (1) The teacher's perception of teacher empowerment was over upper-intermediate level. (2) The teacher's perception of teacher empowerment varied by their sex, age, position they held, level of the teacher's degree, years of service, accumulated experience in administration and the school area. Based on the results, suggestions are provided for educational administration, teachers, and follow-up researches as a reference. |
