In knowledge economy society, the competency of nation lies in the successful education and successful education will be determined by the quality of teachers’ professional. In order to promote teaching and the study quality and enhance effectiveness of school management, principals should make good use of knowledge leadership and encourageteachers to implement teachers’ professional development by multidimensional ways. This article is organized into three sections. First, I elaborate the importance of teachers’ professional development and its’ barriers in education practice. Second, I introduce the basic concept of knowledge leadership and the importance of principals’ knowledge leadership.Finally, according to principals’ knowledge leadership, the strategies of promoting teachers’ professional development were discussed in five dimensions: principals’ role, atmosphere of organization, knowledge management platform, school change and accountability. |
