Social work in modern Chinese universities has experienced the development process from learning Western educational thoughts, introducing social work courses, to understanding Chinese society, and carrying out social services in combination with reality. The University of Shanghai is the first university in China to set up a sociology department, which is of pioneering significance for the scientific and systematic development of social work in China. With the development of social work, the teaching staff of the University of Shanghai has gradually been led by Chinese, the teaching content has been combined with China's actual conditions, personalized courses have been added, academic and social functions have been strengthened and integrated into the Chinese education system, and social service plans adapted to China's national conditions have been implemented according to the times, and finally moved towards localized development. |
