In recent years, “mindful leadership” has been widely valued in educational practice. Through the awareness of the present, the attention to the positive, the establishment of a positive relationship and a positive psychological environment, the cohesion of management energy and development of resilience, mindful leadership has positive effects on the improvement of school management efficiency. High school is the final stage of basic education, and teachers shoulder the responsibility of cultivating talents for colleges and the society. This paper aims to explore high school principals’ practice of mindful leadership, through literature review and interviews to understand and analyze high school principals’ mindful leadership development in the education practice, and through the effects of high school principals’ mindful leadership on teachers’ professional learning communities to discover the value of mindful leadership in teacher development. The study also proposes recommendations for mindful practice, and mindful leadership for high school principals to shape school visions, establish a positive management network and interpersonal relations, promote teachers’ professional learning and growth, and improve education efficiency and students’ development. |
