北區應變醫院之應變措施與韌性展現

Adaptive Operations and Resilience in a Communicable Disease Control Medical Network Strain Hospital in Northern Taiwan

COVID-19病毒自2019年開始以迅雷不及掩耳的速度侵襲全球，是近代史上影響人類最劇烈的一場疫情，造成全球675,922,135人確診，台灣目前亦累積10,112,153人確診。衛生福利部桃園醫院新屋分院鄰近桃園國際機場，又身兼傳染病防治醫療網之北區應變醫院，當COVID-19入侵台灣時，新屋分院當仁不讓扛起重任。在台灣疫情發展初期，從第一例確診病患到2020年10月全台確診人數為575人，分院收治共60人，占總體約1/10，收治量為全國地區醫院第一。超過3年漫長的抗疫期間，新屋分院團隊面對各式新任務新挑戰，都展現團隊向心力、應變力與韌性。

The COVID-19 outbreak rapidly spread across the world in 2019 and is the most critical pandemic in the modern history. As of today, over 6 billions confirmed cases have been reported worldwide, and the number of confirmed cases have also topped 10 millions. Sinwu branch of Taoyuan General Hospital, Ministry of Health and Welfare locates near Taoyuan International Airport and is given the role of strain hospital in Northern Taiwan of Communicable Disease Control Medical Network. While outbreak occurred in Taiwan, Sinwu branch of Taoyuan General Hospital took the responsibility to face the epidemic. In the early stage of the epidemic, there were totally 575 confirmed cases in Taiwan till October 2020. Sixty patients were amditted to Sinwu Branch of Taoyuan General Hospital, about one-tenth of overall cases, which was the most in all district hospitals in Taiwan. Fighting this highly contagious disease for more than three years, we demonstrate team collaboration, rapid and accurate reaction, and resilience in contronting all kinds of new challenging tasks.
