Li Wei-zhen (1547-1626) was one of the ''Last Penta Scholars'' of the Ming Dynasty selected by Wang Shi-zhen. While adhering to the literary position of the revivalist school, he also proposed the possibility of turning and being compatible and compromised with other schools. Although Li Wei-zhen has no theoretical monographs, his praise of ''The Book of Songs'', whether it is the number of times he puts forward or the strength of his arguments, is a special phenomenon. He used ''The Book of Songs'' to summarize and adjust the discussion of ancient poetics, reinterpret the order of literary history, and the standards and critical points of writing methods. And also reconcile the conflicts between the various literary schools. |
