屈萬里《詩經》前後異詮論考

An Investigation of the Former and the Latter of Mr. Chu Wan-Li’s Different Explanations of The Classic of Poetry

屈萬里先生乃臺灣經學大家。曾於1952年遍注《詩經》全經，梓行《詩經釋義》一書，其後三十年間，此書在臺灣學界影響甚深。及其身後，屈費海瑾女士與及門弟子，在其遺稿中搜得眉批旁注計六百餘條，多有異乎《詩經釋義》之說者，爰在《詩經釋義》基礎上，依義補入穿插，是為《詩經詮釋》。
本文以《詩經詮釋》所補材料，較論《詩經釋義》舊說，旁參屈先生所著相關文章，依其性質歸為「地理與著成年代意見之改易」、「詩旨說法之改易」、「句義解釋之改易」、「詞義訓詁之改易」四類，併為「地理與著成年代」、「詩旨說法」與「字詞章句訓詁」三節，各援數例，深入剖析，以得屈萬里先生《詩經》立說演變之跡。並於結論，提出若干見解，俾供學界商量。

Mr. Chu Wan-Li is a well-known Taiwanese Chinese classics master. In 1952, he annotated and published The Classic of Poetry, which had a long-lasting impact on Taiwan’s academic community for the next three decades. Mrs. Chu Fei Hai-Chin and his disciples discovered approximately 600 marginal notes in Mr. Chu’s posthumous manuscript, many of which presented different interpretations from those in the Explanation. As a result, they built on the Explanation and augmented it with these annotations to create An Interpretation of The Classic of Poetry.
The article compares previous interpretations of the Explanation with related articles written by Mr. Chu, and divides them into four categories based on their properties: “changes in geography and chronology of writing,” “changes in interpretations about the main ideas of the poems,” “changes in sentence meaning explanations,” and “changes in word meaning explanations.” It separates these four categories into three sections: “Locations and Writing Completion Periods,” “The Interpretations of the Poems’ Main Ideas,” and “Explanations of Words, Phrases, Sentences, and Paragraphs.” It presents several examples and thoroughly examines them in order to identify the evolution of Mr. Chu’s The Classic of Poetry. Finally, it presents numerous discoveries for academic discussion.
