As of the 21st century, artificial intelligence AI is active not only in games, but also in fields such as information gathering, autonomous driving of cars, unmanned vehicles, and medical diagnosis, and is also used in language education. The purpose of this paper is to consider AI's Japanese language skills from the perspective of Japanese language education. First, after giving an overview of AI's listening, speaking, reading, and translating skills, we considered AI's writing skills wi th examples. From the results, it seems that AI does not yet have the same level of Japanese skills as humans as of 2022, but machine learning and deep learning are expected to make progress. Instead of avoiding it, we should understand the mechanism as much as possible, and use its language skills as a teaching tool to be a plus for Japanese language education. |
