In recent years, echoing with the international trend to emphasize sustainable development, the concept of“Green Building Materials”emerged from the Taiwanese construction industry. Green building materials could be divided into several types, and the attributes of each of them are different. For my concern about energy conservation, the“High-Performance Energy-Saving Green Building Materials”are the focus of this study, which mean that“building materials that can effectively prevent outdoor thermal energy entering buildings to achieve the goal of energy-saving and thus can enhance quality of life.”Furthermore, similarly to echo with the international trend of sustainable development, in recent years the government also began to promote the concept of“Green MICE”, with the wish to reduce impacts to the environment by MICE activities.To combine the above two concepts, in this study, I wish to investigate the possible value to the exhibition industry by utilize high-performance energy-saving green building materials. And because this kind of green building materials is primarily apply to outer casing of a building, so this study focused on“exhibition halls”to discuss the topic of utilizing high-performance energy-saving green building materials. Firstly, I introduced the meaning, scope and evaluation standards of high-performance energy-saving green building materials; Secondly, the possible adoption of this kind of green building materials by Taiwanese exhibition halls was reviewed; Lastly, several topics were discussed. |
