"This article mainly discusses whether Liu Xianglian, the “secondary character image”, is a character in the old manuscript of Fengyue Baojian, through the context of the character image in “A Dream of Red Mansions”. In the process of adding, deleting, rewriting, and rewriting the part of Xiang Lian in the incident of Nine Backs to the School of Education, it may have emerged from the prototype of Liu Xianglian. Secondly, whether the path of adding, deleting and rewriting Liu Xianglian's image may be changed through the rewriting and improvement of the two images of Jia Baoyu and You Sanjie. Finally, the author concludes that Liu Xianglian's rewriting process from the old manuscript to the present one is a treasure. First as the forerunner of the enlightened narrative, and then becoming the improved image of You Sanjie, finally the gradual completion of the narrative framework by the author's sublimation from the old draft of Fengyue Baojian to the theme of the present “A Dream of Red Mansions”." |
