"Since its proposal in the 1980s, the concept of organizational citizenship behaviors (OCBs) has been a critical research topic on organizational behaviors, and studies on relevant fields have continued to grow. Based on the findings of Cheng & Huang (2019) on the organizational behaviors in the ecological system of happy workplaces, this study examined the relationship between the individual, collective, and growth behaviors in OCBs. This study focused on 39 quantitative empirical studies from index journals on OSBs in Taiwan published between 2002 and 2019 and 418 related variables. The relationships between OSBs and the variables were calculated using the meta-analysis method adopted by Rosenthal (1991). The results indicated that effect sizes of the individual, collective, and growth behaviors were 0.289, 0.440, and 0.352, respectively, revealing that OSBs are positively correlated with all the three behavioral dimensions. Suggestions on management practices and further research are presented according to the significance of these three dimensions on OSBs." |
