Chronic diseases have been a nightmare for patients in Taiwan in recent years. Chronic diseases are long-term, slow and progressive diseases that pose the greatest threat to life and can cause serious psychological and emotional problems. As the age of patients with chronic diseases decreases each year, how to take care of and prevent physical and mental health by participating in different leisure activities is the focus of this study. There are few studies on the leisure activities benefits in patients with chronic diseases, and it is worthwhile to investigate what kinds of leisure sports are engaged in by patients with various types of chronic diseases and whether there is a correlation between participation in leisure activities and mental health benefits. In this study, we investigated leisure activities benefits in patients with chronic diseases, and the data were obtained from a sample of 300 patients with chronic diseases in a hospital in Yilan. The results of the study show 1. The higher the age and the lower the education level, the less involved in social ties, sports health care, and recreational activities.2. Participate in leisure activities of skills and skills, and leisure activities of knowledge and culture, and their mental health benefits is poor. |
