The purpose of this study is to explore the current status and correlation of career self-concept and career decision-making of cooperative education student. The research method uses questionnaire survey and uses ''Career Self-Concept Scale'' and ''Career Decision Scale'' as measurement tools. In this study, 262 cooperative education students in a private Vocational High School in New Taipei City was sampled as the research object. The data obtained from the survey were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, t test, one-way ANOVA, and multiple regression. The results of this study are summarized as follows: (a) The overall career self-concept of technical high school catering cooperative education students is in the upper middle level; (b) The overall career decision-making of technical high school catering cooperative education students is in the lower middle level; (c) Male cooperative education students have a greater degree of career self-concept than female cooperative education students; (d) The career self-concept of cooperative education student is significantly related to career decision; (e) The career self-concept of cooperative education student is predictive of career decision-making and ''career interest'' has a higher explanatory power for career decision-making. Based on the above conclusions, relevant suggestions are proposed to educators and future researchers. |
