The Formation of Xiong Xin Group and the Strategy for Defeating Chin

秦二世二年（西元前208年）六月，項梁採納范增的建議，「立楚之後」，以便號召民眾反秦，就在民間找到正為人牧羊的楚懷王的孫子熊心，尊他為楚懷王，熊心集團正式成立。 同年九月項梁在定陶（山東定陶縣北）戰死後，熊心正式接管項梁軍。楚懷王熊心在滅秦戰爭中最大的貢獻，就是擬定了北救趙與西入關的戰略決策。

In the sixth month of the second year of Chin II dynasty ( 208 B.C.) . Xiang Liang adopted Fan Zeng's proposal to "enthrone Xiong Xin the offspring of the former Ch'u ruling home" in order to arouse the Ch'u people to fight against Chin o Xifmg Liang thus located the former King Ch'u Huai 's grandson , Xiong Xin, who was a shepherd at that time, and proclaimed Xiong Xin as King Ch'u Hmii; the Xiong Xin Group was thus established. After Xiang Liang's death at a battle field near Ding Tao (North of Ding Tao county in Shandong province) in September of the same year, Xiong Xin took over the Xiang Liang Army. The major contribution of King Ch'u Hua (Xiong Xin) in the war of defeating Chin was the strategy making of rescuing the state of Zhao in the north and attacking Chin from the west.
