FORMOSAT-7 satellites successfully observed the first data

福衛七號於7月16日功觀測到第一筆大氣層和電離層剖線資料，並於次日完成反演處理。本次資料接收屬於測試階段。國家太空中心將與中央氣象局、中央大學、成功大學，以及其他大氣和電離層科學研究團隊合作，進行福衛七號資料的驗證與氣象預報影響評估。預計發射後第7個月，將電離層和氣象資料將免費開放各界使用。

The first atmospheric and ionospheric profile data received at the testing phase from FORMOSAT-7 satellites on July 16, completed the inversion processing the next day. NSPO would cooperate with the Central Weather Bureau, National Central University, National Cheng-Kung University, and other atmospheric and ionospheric scientific research teams to verify the FORMOSAT-7 data and evaluate the impact of weather forecasts. The ionospheric and meteorological data would be freely available to the public in the 7th month after FORMOSAT-7 satellites were launched.
