The Kosovo conflict has a one hundred-year history with ethnic contradictions remaining the core problem. Since the dismemberment of Yugoslavia, the struggle of Kosovo indenpendence movement hasbecome more violent then ever. This leads to Belgrade's 'ethnic cleansing' policy to save their territorial integrity. In reaction, NATO began its sir raid after the failure of nagotiations. Although Yugoslavia ceased its military action, the confilct in Kosovo still goes on. This time the returning refugees became actors seeking revenge. The possibility of another conflict is high. Under these circumstances, the UN and NATO, who have been stationed there for over a year, remain incapable of resolving the problem. Kosovo has become bastion of criminality |
