The aim of this paper is to approach how and what the cultural responses revived by Siraya elementary school via musical revolution. During 150 years of language lost, a partial rural school try to establish the Siraya chorus to wake the community culture and memories belonged to ancient Siraya. This study revealed 3 conclusions: a. school-based curriculums can be applied and merged with localized life styles and culture immersing atmosphere of Siraya b. creation and encouragement policy, including the music, video, clothing and dance or other comprehensive such as singing and speech contest or traditional bamboo arts performances, needs to be promoted. c. educational bureaus set up certificated textbooks to guarantee the development of Siraya.Music played a significant role in cohesion and reduced conflict in cultural responses and revitalization of Siraya. And, it’s a way for reverence. |
