The stress of modern life that people will inevitably encounter causes poor moods and a lower tolerance of those things which cause frustration. Those who can find a balance and adapt are able to reform their thoughts and increase their level of tolerance. The purpose of this paper is to understand the concept of frustration tolerance. The author used the Walker and Avant (2010) conceptual analysis model to clarify the definition of frustration tolerance, which recognizes the impact of pre-frustration tolerance factors and how low frustration tolerance may cause negative consequences. The defining attributes for typical cases of frustration tolerance included borderline cases and contrary cases which can lead to the understanding of the differences between frustration tolerance and other related concepts. The development of the concept of frustration tolerance was derived from empirical evidences.
