It is believed that the contracted forms are difficult items on the oral use for Japanese learners. This study investigated the Japanese learners' awareness of contracted forms in Taiwan. And reduce the differences between the “want to use'' group and “do not want to use'' group. The result shows, learners have a certain degree of knowledge about contracted forms; 「Give a rude impression」「Often afraid of making mistakes」were the main reason that inhibits the use. The “do not want to use'' group showed passive attitude of using contracted forms. Moreover, learners thought that they will be able to reap the benefits through contracted forms. They hope to learn early, and teach more in textbooks and teachers. |
