The Taiwanese New Literature Movement started by Zhang Wo-jun in the 20s is generally considered as the product of introducing the contents and theories of the May Fourth Movement from China. Another new opinion believes that there is also the influence of Japanese literature. However, what is the Japanese element? So far there hasn't been anyone offering any evidence. First of all, Zhang once proposed the standpoint with the Japanese system being the example. This is worth noticing. In his articles, ''New School Waka Movement'' and ''Masaoka'' had been mentioned. It can almost be concluded that the Japanese example is the literature movement of Masaoka Shiki. Secondly, the epistolary style had been adopted in both of the literature movements. According to the analysis, the attacking measures are also similar in 6 aspects. I have to clarify that: the Taiwanese New Literature Movement started by Zhang Wo-jun was a product of integration of the essence of the antecedent instances from both China and Japan. In the main aspect, the views of the Vernacular Literature Movement in China were implemented. Also, in order to strengthen his opinion, in the lateral aspect, the previous forms and methods of the Waka Revolutionary Movement from Japan were applied.
