The purposes of this article are to develop Strategies Inventory forJapanese Language Learning (SIJLL) for the students of Taiwaneseuniversities. In order to accomplish the purpose mentioned above, themethods of document analysis, interview and questionnaire are applied. Itconsists of (a) a thorough understanding of the concept, framework andcontents of language learning strategies; (b) the qualitative study oflearning strategies of good Japanese Language learner in Taiwan oninterview;(c) the quantitative development of SIJLL being based on thefruit of the previous results by SPSS 17.0.According to the analyses, Oxford’s (1990) SILL can not bethoroughly applied to Japanese Language Learning of Taiwaneseuniversities. It is found that the strategies of Japanese Language Learningin Taiwanese universities are classified into 7 factors by a preliminaryinvestigation. Finally, the using of Japanese Language LearningStrategies are different from school, capacity for Japanese and studyhours, but there are not any statistical differences in the distinction of sex,grade and learning years. |
