Li Qing Zhao’s “Xiang Ci” (Scent Ci) has various meaning levels, covering the scent of nature and goods. When projecting psychological perception, the “scent” image of the most powerful olfactory smell becomes the best clue to pursue the past. It reflects the poet’s confusion and life emotions on the female’s masked of life’s existence in feudal society. However, in Li’s Ci research, instead of the “scent” image, scholars discussed words, emotions or memories. This essay focuses on the psychological activity and emotional trajectory induced by the smell in Li’s “Scent Ci,” taking the scent image of smell as a clue, to discuss Li’s unique way of life observation and escape from the image combination, aesthetic view. It aims to sense Li’s emotions through the smell of the “scent” image and its “scent” image writing and aesthetic perspective. |
