Most of the Han ancestors in Taiwan come from Quanzhou, Zhangzhou and Chaozhou in China. The protector of the native land was introduced to Taiwan with the ancestors. Relative to Mazu(媽祖), Guandi(關帝), LuZu(呂祖) that their scriptures were included in the Ming Dynasty “Dao Zang”(道藏) or the Qing Dynasty folks compiling and publishing their own books. There are fewer Taoist classics based on the local patron saint. After the Second World War, Taiwan's Luan Tang(鸞堂) halls developed again and continued to create the classics of the original patron saints. This article focuses on three kinds of Kai Zhang Sheng Wang(開漳聖王)'s scriptures that have appeared in Taiwan and have been circulating in Kai Zhang Sheng Wang's temple, discuss their content and thoughts. Through this article, we hope to make the academics and believers of Kai Zhang Sheng Wang, can recognize and understand Kai Zhang Sheng Wang's Taoist scriptures. |
