The purpose of this study is to understand the basic attributes of foreign students and the correlation between the learning adaptation and life adaptation status during school. The research design was designed by investigation and correlation research. The basic attributes came from a school research center and adaptation questionnaires from foreign students. The final data were analyzed by full distance, average, standard deviation, percentage, Pearson correlation, t-test. Here is the result of the study. First, according to the analysis of the database showed that a school had enrolled 74 foreign students from the 100 to 106 school year. Most of the foreign students came from Hong Kong (63.16%) and Macao (17.54%). Furthermore, the most popular enrollment channels are overseas joint enrollment (85.14%) and Mainland China joint enrollment (8.11%). In addition, most of the foreign students selected the four-year technical nursing programs (70.27%) and the four-year technical cosmetic science programs (13.51%) as their major. Besides, the scores of various subjects of foreign students are between 97 and 62 marks. Second, according to the foreign student adaptation, the main considerations of foreign students to choose to attend a school were future employment opportunity, living expenses, school’s reputation and quality of education. Most of the foreign students agreed that if there was a chance to choose again, they still have the willingness to choose the same school again. Over and above that, foreign students’ adaptation of learning in school and adaptation of life in school was tending to good status. Plus, there is positive correlation between the learning adaptation and the school life adaptation. In a nutshell, the findings of this study help to provide a school to more understand the adaptation of foreign students in school, also a reference for foreign students’ study, life counselling and enrollment. |
