1. The weight of Ta-Mei-Hwa radish seeds was much affected by environmental factors of the locations where they are cultivated. Results of this experiment showed that weight per 1,000 seeds produced in Nan-shan area, 1200 meters above sea level, was twice as heavy as those produced in Pu-Tai area, the sea shore district. 2. The heavier seeds are well developed and contained higher percentage of crude fat. They had stronger resistance to the environments and longer storage life. 3. In the storage life testing, the germination percentage of the heavier seeds was higher than that of lighter seeds among the same treatments. |
