不同砧木對蘋果生育之比較

The Comparison of Different Stocks on Trhe Growth of Apple

試驗自1966年1月至同年12月止，於臺灣省立中興大學園藝系臺中試驗場舉行，其目的在比較四種不同玷木對蘋果之嫁接成活率及生育情形，俾供實際栽培之參考。供試材料：接穗以祥玉（Winter Banana）品種為代表，砧木計有：（l）臺灣林擒（Matus formosana），（2）實生蘋果（Matus pumila），（3）三葉海棠及（Malus Seiboldii）（4）圓葉海棠（Matus prunifolia）四種。由初步試驗結果得知：一、由嫁接成活率比較，四種砧木間差異頗大，以實生蘋果及圓葉海棠砧木組為最優；達94%與92%，三葉海棠砧木組較差為50%，臺灣林檎砧木組最差；僅18%。二、由成活後之生育比較，依序以圓葉海棠砧木組最佳，實生蘋果砧木組次之，三葉海棠與臺灣林檎砧木組較差，前兩者較後兩者均達統計上之差異極顯著性，而三葉海棠與台灣林檎砧木組間則差異不顯著。本試驗仍在繼續進行中。

This experiment was conducted in the experimental station of Horticultural Department, Taiw ·an Provincial Chung Hsing University, Taichung, Taiwan, China in 1966. In order to study the percentage of successful grafting of four kinds of stocks with the scion of Winter Banana of apple (Matus Pumila Mill.) and compare their resulting growth. The stocks used were: (1) Malus formosana Kawak. et Kaidz. , (2) Matus pumila Mill. , (3). Malus Seiboldii Rehd. and (4) Matus prunifolia Willd. It is hoped that this information may serve to apple culture on this island. Results obtained in the first year are summarized as follows: (1) The percentage of successful grafting were differently for all four stocks: 94% for M. puinila, 92% for M. prunifolia, 50% for M. Seiboldii and 18% M. f ormosana. (2) The growth of grafted plants were very differently for all four stocks. M pumila and M. prunifolia stocks had the largest growth among them, the defference were highly significant statistically. No difference were found between those for M. Seiboldii and M. formosana stocks. This experiment is still going on at present.
