荔枝樹晚發新梢處理對增進結果之效果：第一報

The Effect of Delayed Shoot Treatment on Fruit Bearing of Litchi Tree (Ⅰ)

荔枝在11月～12月發生之晚梢，來年春天拉生花梢結果者甚少，本試驗試行各處理以促生花穗，經於61年～64年（1972-1975）在臺中南投等地，以黑葉高雄早生等品種連續試行三年，結果證明將晚生新梢剪除，其抽穗率可達60-100%，而果實品質亦較佳，不剪者只為0-30%，當因剪枝可節省養分虛耗抑制發育，故有利於花芽之生成。試驗中亦發現以480ppm之ethrel浸漬新梢，亦有增進抽穗之效，證明ehrel具有抑制發育促進休眠之功用。

Few flower shoots can be grow from those delayed shoots of litchi tree of November and December growth. Various treatments has been used for three years (1972-1975) in Thichung and Nantou to increase the number of flower shoot. Results showed cut-off delayed shoots can increase flower shoot 60-100% as compared with the non-cut-off ones of 0-30%. Also it is found that 480 ppm ethrel treatment increase the number of flower shoots.
