After Li was exiled for the first time, the significance of his writing not only became a testimony to his emotions and aspirations, but it also became the main style of his writing. These writings provide an extra layer of meaning for Li's life background. His writing focuses on his experience of being exiled. The themes in these works include landscape, historical remains, animals, plants, and objects of the South. This paper primarily investigates the plight metaphor in Li's works that were written during his exile through the themes of travels to southern lands and the conversation of self and object. |
