有關芥川龍之介「南京的基督」的考察故事的轉換與接受之間

A Consideration of Ryunosuke Akutagawa's 'Christ in Nanjing'

大正九（1920）年七月，刊載在『中央公論』雜誌上的「南京的基督」這篇小說，是以芥川寫作當時同時代的中國秦淮地區為背景，主角是一名信仰基督教的15歲年輕私娼。這篇小說正逢芥川在多方面嘗試其新創意的時期，然而，當時的文壇評論雖然在創作技巧層面，對「南京的基督」有相當高的評價，卻在內容方面持否定的意見。特別值得一提的是南部修太郎的評論，因為，芥川曾以私人書信回應南部的評論。芥川過世後，這兩封書信被公開，芥川在創作「南京的基督」時所投入的創作意圖也因此得以明朗化，而大幅改變了對該作品的解讀方式。因此，對芥川那兩封書信加以探究自不需多言，然而，迫使芥川不得不以書信回應的南部之評論內容，亦有再檢討的必要性。由此，或許能闡明「南京的基督」中原本所潛伏著的問題點。本論文企圖在依據文本探究該作品之結構的同時，亦將當時的評論與那兩封書信所言及的內容予以核對並加省思。

Ryunosuke Akutagawa's ”Christ of Nanjing” which carried by ”Chuo Koron” in July 1920, assumed then China a background. And a young prostitute of 15 years old who believes in Christianity is a chief character. It was the time when Akutagawa tried ambitious creation. ”Christ of Nanjing” was evaluated for the creation method highly, but there were many negative opinions for the contents. Akutagawa wrote two letters and protested the criticism of Nanbu Shutaro. Two letters were announced after Akutagawa died, and the way of reading of ”Christ of Nanjing” turned a lot. Therefore I want to reexamine the two letters and the criticism that angered Akutagawa. I think that there is an opportunity elucidating problems of ”Christ of Nanjing” there. The main subject analyzes the structure of the work from the text and wants to ascertain the contents that the criticism in question and two letters mentioned.
