《每日新聞》中所見90年代台灣報導的增減與架構

The Amount and Structure of Taiwan related reports in the 90s on Mainichi Daily News

台灣與日本之間的關係，不論是從政治面的衝突或是文化層面的交流來切入，在進入90年代之後，由於隨著台灣民主化和中國勢力的崛起，可說是日益複雜。本研究主要是針對日本平面媒體中所呈現的台灣而進行的一連串探討。而本稿則是以日本報紙《每日新聞》中所呈現的台灣新聞報導，以跨越10年的資料作歷時性觀察。其中又分別以報導量的增減和版面架構來進行探討。透過本稿中所設定的假說，利用《每日新聞》所發行的電子資料庫，以台灣做為檢索關鍵字，我們可以明確的發現若將90年代以1995年為基準分成前後期，那麼在《每日新聞》中台灣報導從前期後半開始有顯著的增加。而到了90年代後期則呈現前期報導則數的倍數成長。在版面的分布上，也可從最重要版面：第一版中所出現的報導與相關新聞分布版面的分析中發現，台灣不再僅限於國際版的報導與解說，還在90年代後期開始逐漸於重要版面的第三版中出現。此點可證明《每日新聞》對於台灣議題的處理，有明顯而且重大的改變。亦即國內觀點與台灣新聞的關連性成為《每日新聞》所欲盡速傳達給讀者的焦點之一。

Relation between Taiwan and Japan discussing from geopolitics or cultural exchanges has increased its complexity with democratization in Taiwan and China influence in the 90s. This paper examines about Taiwan as appears on a Japanese press, and performed diachronic analysis on Taiwan news reports by measuring the amount and spatial structure of the 90s which appeared in Mainichi Daily News. This paper raises a hypothesis. According to the quantitative survey retrieved by search on a keyword Taiwan, the amount of reports increased from the second quarter of the 90s, and the second half observed a sharp increase. Meanwhile, main articles and the related one(s) came to be in the front page, hence not caged to the international page. Moreover, in the second half of the 90s, these reports appear even on the third page, which is ordinarily for domestic news. We can say about the reports on Taiwan in Mainichi that they began to have a concern about connection to domestic viewpoints, and subscribers' accessibility.
