林子平「父兄訓」之研究（二）──以「教子之道」為中心

林子平の「父兄訓」の研究（二）──「子弟の教え方」を中心に（A Research of Hayashi Shihei's “Fukeikunn＂ (2): Focusing on “How to Educate Children＂）

本文針對仙台藩武士林子平〈1738－1793〉於1786年所著『父兄訓』中的「教子之道」做探討。他重視兒童時期的家庭教育，從禮節、生活習慣、意志的訓練到文藝、武藝的學習，「父兄」必須付出教導的努力。他希望透過此訓喚起社會對於家庭教育的重視與實踐，產生造就人才、移風易俗的教育與社會效益。他的「教子之道」可以說是循序漸進、有階段性的內容、綜合而成一個有體系的教育方法論。

本文は仙台藩士林子平〈1738-1793〉が1786年に書いた『父兄訓』の「子弟を教える道」について探究したものである。彼は子供の幼少期の家庭教育を重視し、礼儀作法から生活習慣、勝気の訓練、文芸・武芸の学習まで、父兄たちのすべき教育の努力を提示し、世間に家庭教育への重視と実践を呼びかけている。それによって、人材の育成及び世の中が変わっていくことが期待される。彼の教育方法論は、子供を成長に従って順序良く教育していく、体系的なものだと言える。 Hayashi Shihei＜1738-1793＞, a samurai of Sendai Domain, has written “Fukeikunn＂ in 1786. This research will focus on 'How to Educate Children' in “Fukeikunn＂. Hayashi Shihei valued family education in childhood. From the training of etiquette, living habits and will to the learning of literature and martial arts, 'father and brother' must work harder to accomplish the integrated education. He hoped that through this article, the importance and practice of family education can be aroused in society, leading to social and educational benefits of motivating people's talent and improving social customs. 'How to Educate Children' can be said to be a gradual, phased content, integrated into a systematic educational methodology.
