本研究探討不同貯藏溫度、蔗糖濃度及外加乙烯對嘉德麗雅蘭切花花朵老化之影響,嘉德麗雅蘭切花於25℃下瓶插第4天花朵已開始出現老化症狀,第5天花朵已完全老化且失去觀賞價值。在不同溫度(5℃、13℃及25℃)及貯藏天數(2及7天)之處理中,以13℃貯藏2天及5℃貯藏7天後,瓶插第3天之老化情形與對照組並無顯著差異。其他處理均有明顯差異,貯藏溫度及天數增加會顯著加速花朵老化、降低吸水能力和鮮重之維持。不同濃度蔗糖預措處理之瓶插壽命與對照組並無顯著差異,無法延長嘉德麗雅蘭切花之瓶插壽命。嘉德麗雅蘭切花以不同濃度外加乙烯(0.1 ppm、1 ppm、5 ppm)於25℃下處理24小時後,瓶插第2天,以0.1 ppm處理者切花花瓣已稍萎凋,以1 ppm及5 ppm處理者,花朵已完全萎凋而無觀賞價值,對照組花朵仍然完好,乙烯處理之切花吸水量和鮮重亦於第2天明顯下降,顯示嘉德麗雅蘭切花對乙烯非常敏感。 The research is to discuss the effect of the different storage temperature, concentration of sucrose and application of ethylene on the senescence of the cattleya cut flower. The senescence symptom appeared in the cattleya cut flower in the vase at 25℃ at 4th day, complete senescence happened at 5th day and lost the ornamental value . To compare the senescence in the treatments with different storage temperature , storage period and the control, the treatment stored at 13℃ for 2 days and 5℃ for 7 days didn't have significant difference with the control at 3rd day, but had difference with others. The increase of storage temperature and storage period would hasten the senescence , decrease the water uptake and the fresh weight of flower. Treatments with different concentration of sucrose also didn’t have significant difference with the control in the senescence, and prolong the vase life of cattleya cut flower. The cattleya cut flower treated with 0.1 ppm, 1 ppm and 5 ppm ethylene for 24 hrs at 25℃ compared with the control. The control had normal flower at 2nd day after treating, but 0.1ppm ethylene treatment had slight wilt in the petal and still had ornamental value. Treatments with 1 ppm and 5 ppm ethylene had complete wilt in the corolla and lost ornamental value. The treatments with different concentration of ethylene caused considerable flower senescence, the decrease of water uptake and fresh weight of cattleya cut flower in the vase. Data showed that cattleya cut flower was one of orchids very sensitive to ethylene response.
