This article focuses on the ideological characteristics presented from Tao, Yuan ming and Lai, Sheng-chuan's works through the juxtaposition of discussion of Peach Blossom Spring. Tao built an ideal country to show his criticism about tyranny and catastrophe in the world through “The Tale of the Peach Blossom Spring”; on the other hand, he conveyed a pessimistic contention about the eternal opposition between reality and ideal by describing a Utopia in his work. As Lai considered that modern Chinese people chased a perfect country without final goal through “The Peach Blossom Land”. He portrayed a floating image and mental status of new immigrants, and tried to settle down for them to point out a way to survive. |
