Laminated Bamboo Beams Made with Whole Bamboo

本研究乃將台灣產孟宗竹及麻竹,經簡單裁切、對剖、壓締等機械加工展成平面竹板材,探討以間苯二酚甲醛膠合劑(RF膠)於厚度方向行平行積層膠合製造竹集成樑之可行性。由其結果得知,RF膠對木材具良好之膠合性能,然應用於經對剖、壓締展平後竹材之直接膠合製作竹集成樑時,竹板材在竹節橫隔膜突起部位及竹青表面會影響膠合效果,致竹集成樑之強度性質不佳。而將竹簧側橫隔膜突起及部分竹青側表面去除,則可改善膠合層之密接性,竹青表面以1%NaOH溶液處理則可改善膠合劑對其表面之濕潤性,RF膠中添加樹皮萃取物則可進一步改善所製造竹集成樑之性質。 In this study, flat bamboo boards were made by simple machine processing such as cuttingand pressing from Ma bamboo (Dendrocalamus latiflorus) and Moso bamboo (Phyllostachys edulis).The feasibility of laminated bamboo beams made with flat bamboo board laminated in the thickness usingRF as adhesive was investigated. From the results, RF had good bonding performance for wood. Butthe bulge of diaphragma at bamboo node hindered intimate contact of flat bamboo board to be glued, andthe wax existed in the bamboo skin caused the wetting of adhesive difficult, both of these broughtlaminated bamboo beams with bad strength properties. Planning away the bulge of diaphragma and partof the surface of bamboo skin could improve the contact of glue line. Treatment the surface of bambooskin with 1 % NaOH solution could improve the wettability of adhesive. RF adhesive blended with barkextractive could improve the properties of laminated bamboo beam.
