In this comprehensive narrative literature review indicated that Hibiscus sabdariffa Flower Extract (HS) can effectively alleviate human-related diseases. The reviews also provided safety and toxicological information on this traditional medical through pharmacological randomized clinical trial (RCT) of phytochemistry and biochemistry. The comprehensive reviews also showed that HS extracts may serve as a relief for human disease. The objective of this study was to determine the effects of HS extract on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated inflammation by suppressing three pro-inflammatory mediators, including nitric oxide (NO), cytokine interleukin 6 (IL-6) as well as tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α). The results showed that the HS extract exerted anti-inflammatory effect by suppressing inflammation, while cytotoxicity was not detected in the cells tested. Furthermore, the extract still needs to be verified by actual therapeutic practice and more high-quality animal and human studies to understand the effects of clinical trials. In practice, the purpose of the study hopes to enhance a wide range of public health benefits and well-being of humanity. |
